PETROCOMP

In 1993 Petrocomp established a Treatment Facility in conjunction with Fallon County to treat contaminated soils, non-hazardous liquid, and oil sludge wastes.

The treatment process we utilize is known as composting. Composting turns regulated wastes into non-regulated soil amendments.: It uses other organic wastes such as wood, grass or straw as bulking agents.

Some of our services include

  • Turning equipment and technology to remediate Hydrocarbon bearing soils &  tank bottoms (ie; non-marketable crude oil).
  • Provide documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Confined space entry.
  • Hazmat certified personnel.
  • DOT coded vessels to haul wastes.
  • permitted facility, to treat exempt or non-exempt wastes as well as on site capabilities.
  • Spill response/leak assessment and clean up.
  • Provide soil amendments from the treated material to reclaim affected spill areas after process is complete.

Some of the advantages our process has over other treatment options include:

  • Small quantity of land required.

  • Remediation is accomplished more rapidly.

  • Accumulation of waste products at specified sites is avoided.

  • Potential for an economical disposal alternative.

  • Reduces generator's liability.

Our process has been utilized and is becoming an acceptable treatment method by the U.S. Forest Service, Department of Environmental Quality, Bureau of Land Management for these types of waste.

Petrocomp's proven process can environmentally and economically make a difference for generators of hydrocarbon bearing soils and producers of non-marketable oil field wastes.
